Searching For Food

The best places to search for food is near a stream, meadow, low bushes, or stand of trees.

When in a stand of trees, search for nuts, seeds, and fruit.

When in a meadow or near a stream, look for small game animals like wild hair and squirrels.

For hunting game, use a short 2" thick hunting stick. The stick should be about 16 inches in length.

For fish, stab them in the stream using a long stick with a point on one end.
- When eating meat, make sure that it is cooked completely by boiling or roasting it.

Only eat the meat that is from the legs, ribs, and arms except for fish which can be cooked whole.

Berries (except white), acorns, walnuts, and pine needles can be eaten fresh.

Edible green leaves, wild onions, and wild garlic should be boiled before eating to kill any bacteria or toxins.

Never eat white berries.

Never eat mushrooms, fungi, or parsley-like plants.

Never eat anything that you are not familiar with.
